After a brief conversation regarding needs and the intention of the session, Reiki will begin with the client lying clothed on the massage table. The practitioner placing her hands in different positions on the body (or slightly above) encourages the Reiki energy to flow through the client; cleansing and restoring, calming and relaxing, balancing healthful energy throughout the body.

No single reaction is felt by all. Some people describe heat energy flowing, others mention a tumbling sensation like pebbles in a gentle stream, still other feel tightness dissolve in a specific area. Most people would say there is a sense of letting go, relaxing and feeling ready for the rest of the day.

Sessions are usually 60 minutes.

Reiki is not a replacement for medical care. It is a compliment to it and widely accepted by the medical community. Many hospice organizations, faith communities, skilled nursing facilities and hospitals utilize Reiki to reduce stress and tension and create a feeling of calmness.

Also, many families use Reiki with their children, particularly as part of the bedtime routine. Kids love Reiki and it comes naturally to them.

It is a loving, calming energy that is non-invasive and works for the person’s highest good. Pets love it, too.

I can help you develop the Reiki techniques to enhance your well-being and that of your family.

What can I expect in my first Reiki session?

The senses will be engaged with the room softly lighted, music or waterfall sounds in the background, fresh scented fabric on the massage table and a sense of peace and uninterrupted calm in the air.

Simply put, it is a natural and gentle method for rebalancing energies; emotionally, physically and spiritually.

FAQ

Is it possible for a person to learn Reiki for their own self-healing and relaxation?

Yes, Reiki is something that anyone can learn and use for self-treatment such as improve quality of sleep or help with the anxiety and stress of daily living.

"I have chronic, severe arthritis and have already experienced spine and hand surgery followed by a total right knee replacement.  Words that come to mind while experiencing Reiki with Judith are "soft, floating, gentle and complete relaxation to the point of falling asleep.”  Judith is a master with Reiki as she is with yoga.  Reiki is a wonderful experience!"

In the tranquil setting of RoseWoods, take a needed timeout from physical and emotional stress to unblock stagnant energy and renew mind, body and spirit through Reiki.

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a gentle Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing and wholeness. By lightly placing hands on specific energy centers of the client’s body, the practitioner begins the process of opening and energizing the life giving force that we each are born with but often has become blocked by chronic health issues, daily living, poor dietary choices, stress, grief, sleep disorders, etc. A feeling of “lightness and release” is how clients often describe their Reiki experience.
